Open Fire Black – Submission Only is an open Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu / Grappling tournament held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 15 February at IS 360 sport Arena, under a Submission Only format inspired by the Eddie Bravo Invitational (EBI) ruleset.

The primary objective of this event is to provide a professional and safe platform where athletes compete to win exclusively by submission, promoting:

All registered athletes will receive an Official Certificate of Participation in the Open Fire Black – Submission Only event.

These certificates recognize the athletes’ effort, performance, and dedication to the sport, and will be issued by IS 360 Sport & Entertainment as official event documentation.

The event will be conducted indoors on competition mats with qualified referees and medical support present.

By registering for this event, athletes and guardians acknowledge acceptance of all competition rules and safety policies. This event is designed to promote Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Submission Grappling in a safe, inclusive, and professional environment.

Pricing Details – Registration Periods

Registration for the Open Fire Black – Submission Only event:

Early Bird registration is designed to reward athletes who register early and confirm their participation in advance.

EARLY BIRD BONUS – FREE OFFICIAL RASH GUARD

All athletes who register during the Early Bird period will receive the Official Event Rash Guard for FREE.

The rash guard is exclusive for this event, and it will be produced in the belt color of each athlete

Only Early Bird athletes are guaranteed to receive it! This benefit is offered only to Early Bird registered athletes.

This is the standard registration period for most competitors.

Late Registration is subject to:

Organizers may close registration earlier if divisions are full.

After submitting your registration:

This procedure ensures accuracy of athlete information and proper division placement before payment.


Refund Policy

Please note that registration fees are non-refundable under normal circumstances.

Refunds will only be provided in the following case:

  • If there is no opponent available in the athlete’s registered division
  • And no suitable division/weight/age adjustment is possible
  • And the athlete is the only competitor remaining in that bracket

In this case, the athlete may choose:

  • Transfer to another division (if safe), or
  • Full refund

No refunds will be issued for:

  • Withdrawal
  • Injury
  • Schedule change
  • Missing weight
  • Personal circumstances

Division Merge Policy

To ensure matches for all competitors, divisions may be:

  • Merged by weight
  • Merged by experience level
  • Merged by age group
  • Converted to round-robin format

Athletes, coaches, and parents will be informed in advance.

Weigh-In Information

Plan your weigh-in accordingly:

  • Weigh-ins will be conducted 30 minutes before your scheduled match
  • Arrive at least 1 hour before your first match
  • Registration counter will announce weigh-in names

Example:

  • First match at 9:00 AM
  • Arrive at 8:00 AM
  • Weigh-in at 8:30 AM

Athletes must weigh-in:

  • In competition uniform (No-Gi attire)
  • Within registered weight class

Failure to make weight may result in:

  • Division change (if possible), or
  • Disqualification

Competition Schedule

Tentative event schedule:

  • Doors open: 8:00 AM
  • Rules briefing: 8:30 AM
  • First matches begin: 9:00 AM
  • Kids & Teens divisions: morning
  • Adults & Masters divisions: midday to afternoon
  • Finals & Absolute divisions: later sessions
